President | Range Master | U.S. Marine Veteran
Founder of Pro-Tac Resources LLC
Dustin Kidd is a lifelong Hoosier and proud U.S. Marine veteran with more than 30 years of hands-on experience in firearms use, training, and competition. As the founder and Range Master of Pro-Tac Resources LLC, he brings unmatched passion and professionalism to the shooting sports industry in Indiana.
Dustin began shooting at the age of 5, entered competitive shooting and reloading by age 10, and has since completed hundreds of hours of formal instruction. He’s trained a wide range of shooters—from total beginners and youth groups to law enforcement and even those who were previously fearful around firearms. His patient, common-sense approach has made him a trusted instructor for women, youth, and public safety personnel alike.
A certified instructor and Range Safety Officer, Dustin is also a lifelong outdoorsman, hunter, and active supporter of responsible gun ownership. He previously helped operate several other shooting ranges around central Indiana and has collaborated with instructors from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy to train officers across the state. He has also been involved in legislative advocacy and organized pro-2A events to protect the rights of responsible gun owners for over 10 years.
Beyond the range, Dustin is a seasoned industrial engineer with a track record of improving operational and business performance for major corporations. Today, he channels that same drive into building and managing businesses that serve Indiana communities—including Pro-Tac’s shooting ranges, retail stores, and training programs.
As a descendant of Paul Hadley (designer of the Indiana state flag) and part of a family legacy of American military service dating back to the American Revolution and the “Shot Heard Around the World,” Dustin takes pride in serving Hoosier patriots and gun owners from all walks of life.
His mission is simple: to provide safe, welcoming, and high-quality shooting experiences for families, sportsmen, and new shooters alike—helping to preserve and pass on the patriotic traditions of American firearm ownership. He is equally committed to bringing basic firearms knowledge back to the forefront of American culture—ensuring future generations grow up with understanding, not fear, and are empowered to protect their freedoms for years to come.
Whether it’s training a first-time shooter or hosting events for experienced enthusiasts, Dustin is dedicated to making the shooting sports accessible, respectful, and deeply rooted in the values of liberty, responsibility, and community.
